Tanzania Africa Project 2007 My name is Sarah Barrett, and for those of you that don’t know me, I live in Strabane, Co. Tyrone. In July 2007, I will be travelling to Africa for ten days with the local charity “Children in Crossfire” to provide direct support to individuals, groups and children living within the most impoverished regions of Tanzania, Africa. I am organising a number of fundraising events to raise funds for the “Children in Crossfire” charity, funds which will be put to use in a number of projects in Tanzania, primarily building a school in the Moshi Township. As part of the Children in Crossfire delegation, 20 of us have volunteered to travel to Africa to undertake this school building project in July 2007. I would be delighted if you could assist the project and charity with sponsorship, and at the fund raising events. TANZANIA AFRICA PROJECT—JULY 2007

Project Objectives:

  • Building a new school within the Moshi Township - Children in Crossfire are trying toraise finances for this project and we will be assisting with the construction works. Your sponsorship contributions will directly fund the school construction.

  • Teaching and providing developmental support to children within the Uchira nursery school.

  • Teaching computer skills and providing other educational supports at the Uchira computer centre and primary school

  • Providing additional supports at Karanya technical centre.
